With the city of Orlando still buzzing after a Magic finals appearance and a trade for a true superstar (Vince Carter), I think fans need to keep their eyes on what happens this offseason as NBA free agency begins.
The Magic appear to be cutting ties with Hedo Turkoglu, who played a big role in their journey to the finals this past season. They are reportedly trying to re-sign C Marcin Gortat, but his asking price may be too much for the Magic to deal with. They will be targeting a true power forward to complement Dwight Howard down low, so don't be shocked if they make moves towards veterans Antonio McDyess and/or Rasheed Wallace. 'Sheed may be the wild card as to who represents the Eastern Conference in the 2010 NBA Finals. It seems that Boston and Orlando are the two teams that will most likely bring in the former Pistons star.
